Meet Alex
I am an Associate in the Real Estate Finance team, having joined Lawrence Stephens in February 2025.
I have broad real estate experience advising on acquisitions, disposals, landlord and tenant management work and financing transactions in the market (institutions, private capital, and challenger banks).
I hold a history degree from the University of Manchester and a distinction in the LPC LLM. I then completed my training with Lawrence Stephens before working as a solicitor for Stephenson Harwood and Herbert Smith Freehills.
Experience
- Assisted on a £140 million refinancing of an iconic asset in London and subsequent asset management of the building for a UK investor.
- Assisted on a £365 million joint venture acquisition financing of the entire share capital of the target company for a UK investor.
- Assisted with a FTSE 100 Bank financing eight separate parcels of land for a leading UK property developer.
- Assisted with a U.S. Bank’s debt facility to a privately owned real estate fund whereby 12 commercial properties were added to the existing security pool.
- Assisted a FTSE 250 Bank in relation to the refinancing of a portfolio of 50 residential units and four commercial units.
- Assisted on numerous acquisitions, refinancing and development financing deals between £5million – £20million with security over commercial property, land, residential portfolios, and hotels.
- General asset management (surrenders and re-grants, wayleaves, and licences).
